How should I pay for the conference?
You have to complete and return the registration form. Your registration is confirmed upon receipt of the registration fee. Your payment choices are outlined on the registration form. Payment is in US dollars via wire transfer, corporate check, or credit card payment.
When should I pay for the event?
Full payment is required within 10 days upon your registration. Payment must be received before the date of events.
What materials are provided?
Participants will receive a conference notebook containing summaries of presentations and a list of those conferees who agree to provide their names and contact information.
Are all the materials included?
Yes. You do not have to pay extra for them. All the materials will be distributed on the first day of the event.
How do I get to the hotel?
Maps of the venues and suggested transportation will be sent along with the confirmation of your registration. Should you have more questions, please contact us.
How do I book for hotel?
Please note that the registration fee does NOT include accommodations. However, we can arrange for you if you state your request in the application form. A surcharge will be applied. We strongly suggest you to stay at or close to the event venue (in the Northwest part of Beijing, in the Haidian district.)
How about meals?
Morning snacks and tea/coffee, snacks and tea/coffee during break, and lunch are provided during each day of the conference. A dinner and no-host reception are provided the first night of the conference. Participants in the pre-conference day-long ethnographic exercise will purchase their own lunches while in the field. Please refer to our program run-down. We all love food after all, we should be able to take you to experience Chinese culture with authentic, delicious Chinese food.
What should I prepare for the fieldwork day?
You are suggested to bring a notepad, a pen and a still camera. For the clothing, casual wear should be good enough. A jacket is recommended as November weather in Beijing is highly variable.
What if I cannot attend?
If you cannot attend, you may replace with a substitute delegate. Please inform us and no extra fee will be charged.
Can I cancel my attendance? What is your refund policy?
You may cancel your attendance at any time by writing to us. The refund schedule will be:
- Up to but not beyond 15 days after we receive your payment: 100% of conference fees
- From 16 days after payment through DEADLINE (TBA): 50% of conference fees
- After DEADLINE: No refunds
What if I have some special needs?
Please let us know if you have any special needs upon registration. If you have special request regarding diets and or disabilities, we will try our best to accommodate you.
