Conference Location
Our Beijing Team is working with several Hotels in the University District to provide high-quality, moderately priced accommodations for our conference.

We are working with hotels at and near Tsinghua and Language and Culture Universities to bring you a conference experience in an area of Beijing that is not normally the host to big conventions or tourist gatherings. We want our conference to provide you with an opportunity to step outside the well-worn pathways of foreign guests. Considering anthropologist Paul Stoller's view that ethnographers consider too often what they see, we want you not only to see but to smell, hear, and feel the Hutongs (alley-ways), public parks, and shopping areas of every-day Beijing.
